LEAD DEVELOPER
Six Red Marbles LLC, Cambridge, Massachusetts
Lead and Managed Development teams in the Technical
Specification, Staffing, and Development needs of large
projects, including the migration of an entire print curriculum
to an online entity, via SQL, XML, XSLT and CSS.
Participated in all phases of software development,
including responding to R.F.P’s, writing functional
specifications, and assisting in interface and informational
design.
Created and implemented code architectures using standardized
variable naming conventions and custom built API’s.
This allowed simultaneous work to be done on pieces of
functional and interface code by multiple developers,
sped up development time and eliminated redundant coding.
Built code engines, separating core application functionality
from interface. By separating these pieces, multiple interfaces
were dynamically fit onto engines and slight changes in
functionality were handled through additional child objects.
This reduced revision control problems and aided bug tracking
and fixing.
Developed XML based markup languages to facilitate the
transfer of information from content databases and remove
ties between application functionality and content..
Built custom applications to assist in the production
of projects by dramatically reducing the amount of time
spent preparing project assets.
Intervened on problem projects and became adept at working
with and debugging a variety of code styles and practices.
Organized and led Developer study groups to explore
and share understanding of new technologies and languages.
